Annual Function Day
One of the most anxiously awaited occasions in any school is its Annual Function Day. Spanning over two days, the Annual Function Day is celebrated in our school between January and February with great excitement.
The Annual Function Day comprises the cultural programme performed by our students as well as the prize distribution ceremony. This day is celebrated separately for the Junior and the Senior students.
The cultural programme showcases the hidden talents of our students in the form of dance performances, plays, poetry recitation and a rendition of songs. Maximum students are encouraged each year to participate in the programme.
Prizes are given for outstanding academic performance throughout the year. Three toppers from each class are rewarded. Prizes are also given to those students who have 100% attendance in the particular academic year. Scholarships, sponsored by some of our ex-students excelling in their respective fields, are also granted on this special day.
The function ends with elated faces and a lot of motivation to excel in the following year.
MAHAVIR JAYANTI
The school celebrates Mahavir Jayanti on 17th April every year in a unique way. First, the students, teachers and members of the managing committee of the school duly attend the ‘Prabhat Pheri’. Then, an inter-school elocution competition is held. The topic is based on the teachings of Lord Mahavira and its relevance in today’s world. The participants come from various reputed schools of Kolkata and Howrah and are judged by eminent personalities. The winners are given cash prizes.
